The moon is new this evening in the sign of Aquarius. This is a time to set intentions around humanitarian issues and attitudes, inventive solutions, friendships, and seeing the big picture.

When setting new moon intentions a lot of people will advise you to include intentions about world peace. I believe in prayer, I believe in the ideology of world peace. I also believe that if intentions and prayer were enough, we would have world peace by now. We have to do our part to create peace individually. One of the most important things to note here is that we have absolutely no control over what other people think, say, and do. So no matter how much you wish you could change an opinion, don’t give your energy to what others think and instead, you do you.

This is a good time to set intentions about amplifying your own role in the world. What you can do. This can take the form of setting intentions for finding clarity in the best way to participate with others to create a better, more inclusive world. Or actively involving yourself in furthering a cause. Or even changing your attitudes, like being able to respond in a more friendly and compassionate manner or increasing empathy. You can set intentions to become more consciously aware of the world as a whole and what is happening.

As always you can set intentions about whatever is pressing to you. You aren’t restricted by the sign the moon is in. This new moon happens to emphasize the aspects that Aquarius rules. So, if you’re looking to expand your view and think outside the box, this is a super time for that. Maybe you need a solution to a problem or you want to feel more comfortable being openly eccentric- Aquarius is all about these things and you can set intentions for them.

It’s also a good time to set intentions about long-term goals (humanitarian, career, relationship, or otherwise) and following through, as well as for nurturing friendships and cooperation.

May your intentions be in alignment with your highest good and may they bear the fruit of love, empathy, and happiness in your life and the lives of others.
Xoxo,

Jess
